Critical Care
Critical care nursing opportunities abound at Hurley. The following units provide acute care for adult and geriatric patients who are critically ill, including surgical and cardiac patients. Alongside critical care physicians, resident physicians, physician assistants and other professionals, you’ll ensure that Hurley’s collaborative nursing philosophy is evident in every facet of the patient experience.
Neuro-Trauma Intensive Care
Our 18-bed trauma unit tackles cases of traumatic brain injuries, severe automobile accidents, strokes and other critical injuries from our ED. Our Stroke Program is recognized as a Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission.
Intensive Care Unit
This 15-bed ICU provides care for patients diagnosed with acute and chronic illnesses that require intensive monitoring and nursing care. You’ll attend these patients and their families at the most critical crossroads of their hospitalization.
Coronary Intensive Care Unit
Our 13-bed CICU serves the critical cardiac patient. Nurses fascinated with treating cardiac diseases such as myocardial infarction, acute cardiac arrhythmias, and acute congestive heart failure are sure to find their niche.
Regional Burn Unit
We put burns on notice with this 11-bed unit dedicated to caring for both adult and pediatric patients who have suffered serious burns. As one of only six such units in the state, ours has everything it takes to provide the highest level of burn care in the region.
Intermediate Critical Care
The ICCU provides both telemetry and bedside monitoring for patients with medical and cardiac conditions who have transferred out of either ICU or CICU. In these twelve stepdown ICU beds, ICCU patients will be ministered by a tireless crew of RNs trained in critical care.
