Lung Center
Lung Cancer is by far the leading cause of cancer deaths among both men and women. Each year, more people die of Lung Cancer than of colon, breast, and prostate cancers combined.
The key is early detection.
The Hurley Lung Center is dedicated to the prevention, early detection and treatment of diseases of the lung. Our Team of Board Certified Multidisciplinary Physicians all work together to diagnose and treat lung diseases.

Don’t Be Scared – Be Screened
Too often lung cancer is not detected until after it has spread. Early detection is the key to survival. Studies have shown there is a survival rate of up to100 percent in patients where lung cancer is detected at an early stage. Many people do not know about this important information. Knowing the results can give you back your life. The screening test doubles the number of early cancers found. There has never been a better time to find and treat lung cancer. A small investment of time and money can save your life.
Low-Dose CT Lung Scan (LDCT)
A low-dose CT scan can find lung cancers in their earliest stages, when more than 80% of cases are curable.
The test is quick, painless, and takes about 60 seconds with only minimal radiation exposure.
Medicare and many insurance plans now cover LDCT for those who meet the screening criteria—making it easier than ever to take this simple step that could add years to your life.
Robotic Lung Screening (Ion System)
Our new Ion System uses robotic bronchoscopy to reach and biopsy tiny nodules deep in the lung with unmatched precision. This advanced screening approach means earlier answers, less discomfort, and better outcomes for our patients.
